About Me

Born in a family of immigrant engineers who were teachers and artists in their past lives, I developed a wild curiosity early on (As a kid I once asked does private parking mean you park in someone's private parts? Crazy kid right?) Taking that inquisitiveness to college, I studied and experimented with a variety of disciplines, from advertising to 3D modeling to management consulting. Coming full circle to my roots, I pursued software product design after graduation, which intersected artistry (thanks mom!) with scientific inquiry (thanks dad!). To do that, I joined Tradecraft as an Inaugural Design Fellow, where I got to learn product design and entrepreneurship from mentors like Seth Godin (author of Tribes), Ryan Hoover (ProductHunt)Nir Eyal (author of Hooked), Laura Klein (author of UX for Lean Startups), and Kate Rutter (Adaptive Path).

At Declara, which was recognized by the White House and Apple as a Top 10 Education App, I designed a program that helped individuals achieve their highest potential by gleaning insights from the sum of human knowledge. After getting diagnosed with Grave's Disease while beginning my career, I faced my mortality for the first time, and underwent a journey of deep depression and reflection. I discovered mindfulness from leaders both spiritual and secular, and emerged from the aftermath with a profound awareness of how to conquer the inner demons of thanklessness, selfishness, fear, and pessimism.

I now enjoy sharing the transformative effects of cultivating mindfulness and have had the fortune to coach clients from Stanford, Harvard, The Clinton Global Initiative, and Khan Academy. Long term, I dream of carrying out the Dalai Lama's vision of an education system that cultivates not only brighter minds, but ultimately better people - by intersecting Design Thinking, Mindfulness, Civic Engagement, and Play.
