From our definitions, I created a list of "Levers" that teachers could use to personalize learning for students. I noticed the list could be further categorized (i.e. Who / What / When / Where / How / Emotional). I then took this list to first teachers, then students, to get ranking about which of these would have the greatest impact on student learning.
After getting initial input on the Low Fidelity prototypes, I created these throwaway Mid Fidelity prototypes. The cards were designed to intentionally look bad to ensure I get feedback about usability and relevance vs aesthetics. These cards were tested in a weekly PD session with all staff present.
These are the final versions of the cards that were designed AFTER making changes on the content and copy of the cards. They were printed and used to onboard both current and incoming teachers. Though they are visually polished, they are still considered a prototype as d.tech staff continue to gather feedback about the cards' impact on student learning.
